Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama held the third meeting of the Council for the Formulation of a Growth Strategy at the Prime Minister's Office.

At the beginning of the meeting, attended by all the Cabinet members, Prime Minister Hatoyama said, "I call upon the new government to strip away the barriers of jurisdiction when formulating a growth strategy. I want everyone to cooperate with each other so that we can formulate this June a growth strategy unique to the new government. Today's meeting is very important in that respect, and I request everyone's active cooperation."
