On December 29 (local time), Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, who is
visiting India, held talks with Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of
India. During the talks, the prime ministers discussed matters such as
the Strategic and Global Partnership between Japan and India agreed in
December 2006. Thereafter, they signed a joint statement and held a
joint press conference.
Prior to the summit meeting, Prime Minister and Mrs. Hatoyama visited Raj Ghat and offered a wreath at a memorial.
