Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama attended the 25th meeting of the Tax
Commission in fiscal 2009, chaired by Mr. Hirohisa Fujii, Minister of
Finance, at the Prime Minister's Office.
After receiving the commission report from its Chair, Prime Minister Hatoyama said, "Since the first meeting of the Commission, I have been saying that politics is all about tax and that tax itself represents politics. I extend my sincere appreciation for compiling this solid report."
