Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama received the FY2008 Audit Report from Mr. Masaki Nishimura, Commissioner (President) of the Board of Audit, at the Prime Minister's Office.

The audit report compiled the results of the audit conducted by the Board of Audit during fiscal 2009 on the final accounts of revenues and expenditures of the State, the final accounts of revenues and expenditures of government-affiliated institutions, and other public accounts for fiscal 2008. The report listed 717 findings, with improper amounts totaling 236.45 billion yen.
