5th Day of the Visit to the US; Pittsburgh G-20 Summit; and Press Conference, etc.
Following the plenary session, Prime Minister Hatoyama held separate talks with Mr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, and Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, President of the Republic of Indonesia.
Prime Minister Hatoyama then held a press conference and spoke of the achievements of this visit to the US, stating, "I believe I was able to impress on my counterparts that Japan’s politics and diplomacy shall change."
Prime Minister Hatoyama also attended the first-pitch ceremony for a match between US major league teams -- the Pittsburgh Pirates and Los Angeles Dodgers -- in PNC Park in Pittsburgh. Prior to the ceremony, Prime Minister Hatoyama met with Mr. Hiroki Kuroda, a pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
After the ceremony, Prime Minister Hatoyama left for Japan from Pittsburgh International Airport.
