Once again, I wish to offer my heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Biden and Ms. Harris. Japan and the United States are allies that share fundamental values such as freedom and democracy. We intend to work together with the U.S. in order to further strengthen the Japan-U.S. Alliance, and to ensure the peace and prosperity of the Indo-Pacific region. Regarding telephone talks between myself and Mr. Biden, or my visit to the U.S., nothing has been decided at present, but I intend to coordinate to seek an appropriate timing for these occasions.
