On November 8, 2019, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe conducted a comprehensive drill for countermeasures against novel influenza and other diseases at the Prime Minister's Office.
The drill was based on a scenario in which a patient with novel influenza is confirmed within Japan for the first time.
