Today, I am delighted to congratulate the opening of the office of the Secretariat of the International Forum of Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR) in Japan. The Government of Japan fully recognizes the importance of IFIAR's objective, to improve audit quality globally, which is increasingly important for sustainable growth of global economy. The Japanese government, together with other member authorities, continues to support the activities of IFIAR to accomplish its goal.
