Message of condolence from Prime Minister Abe to President Widodo of Indonesia and Prime Minister Najib Razak of Malaysia

On December 29, concerning the incident in which AirAsia flight 8501 went missing, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe sent a message to H.E. Mr. Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia, extending heartfelt condolences for the many missing Indonesians, praying for the earliest possible discovery of the aircraft and for the safety of all the passengers and crew members on board, and conveying that Japan will spare no effort in providing necessary assistance.
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe also sent a message to Dato’ Sri Haji Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia, extending condolences and good wishes for the earliest possible discovery of the aircraft and the safety of all those on board, as well as for the earliest possible restoration of the areas affected by the flood. He also stated that Japan would spare no effort in providing necessary assistance and cooperation to help Malaysian efforts in response to these situations.
