Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held a press occasion on the explosion that occurred on a subway in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The Prime Minister said the following,

“I would first like to offer my condolences to the victims and extend my sympathy to all those who were affected. Terrorism is absolutely intolerable. Japan stands in solidarity with President Putin and the people of Russia during these difficult circumstances. Japan is resolved to combat terrorism in close cooperation with the international community.”
