On August 28 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who was visiting Nairobi in the Republic of Kenya to attend the Sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD), first attended the JICA High Level Panel , and then participated in Plenary Session 2 (Dialogue with the Private Sector) . Afterwards, Prime Minister Abe held talks with H.E. Mr. Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, President of the Republic of Djibouti , and H.E. Mr. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, respectively.
Later, the Prime Minister attended the Japan-Africa Business Conference , and then hosted a working lunch, to which he invited countries from eastern and southern Africa.
In the afternoon, Prime Minister Abe attended the Closing Session, and then held a joint press conference with H.E. Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya , and H.E. Mr. Idriss Deby Itno, President of the Republic of Chad .
Later, Prime Minister Abe held talks with President Kenyatta at State House , followed by a signing ceremony and joint press announcement.
