On October 22 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia.
Prime Minister Abe held talks with H.E. Mr. Chimed Saikhanbileg, Prime Minister of Mongolia  at a State guest house. After the meeting, the two leaders held a signing ceremony and a joint press announcement. In addition, Prime Minister Abe also held talks with H.E. Mr. Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia , and with Mr. Zandaakhuu Enkhbold, Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia.
Later, the Prime Minister offered flowers at a memorial monument for the Japanese dead.
