Prime Minister Shinzo Abe hosted a welcome ceremony for H.E. Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, who is paying an official visit to Japan, at the State Guest House.
Afterwards, the two leaders conversed in a tea room at an Omotesenke tea ceremony practice room in Tokyo. Then the two leaders returned to the State Guest House and held talks, following which both leaders signed the Japan-India Joint Statement, and then held a joint press announcement.
Lastly, the Prime Minister hosted a banquet, inviting Prime Minister Modi and other relevant guests.
