The Prime Minister Receives a Courtesy Call from the Representatives of the Boy Scouts who Received the Fuji Award
Wednesday, April 2, 2014
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe received a courtesy call at the Prime Minister's Office from representatives of the Boy Scouts who received the "Fuji Award."
The Prime Minister said in his words of encouragement,
"Today, I am delighted to welcome you to the Prime Minister's Office. Congratulations to all of the recipients of the 'Fuji Award.' Boy Scout activities are very meaningful and allow you to learn about the value of working hard for others and the importance of serving others, while spending time with other young people your age.
I believe you had opportunities to go out into nature and experience the joy of interacting with others. In nature, and in your relationships with others, unexpected things happen, and things do not always go as planned. I believe you learned about the importance of overcoming such challenges.
I would like to ask all the recipients of the 'Fuji Award' to take pride in having been presented with this award, and continue to give guidance to junior Boy Scouts. I would like to conclude my remarks by expressing the hope that this award will inspire you to play an even more active role in the community. Once again, congratulations."
