The Prime Minister Visits Iwate Prefecture

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited Iwate Prefecture to gauge the progress of the reconstruction from the Great East Japan Earthquake.
First, the Prime Minister visited a public housing unit for disaster-stricken households in the Monzen Koji Second Area of the Jyonai Area of Noda Village. Later, the Prime Minister visited emergency temporary housing at Noda Junior High School and the Minamihama Takadai Area.
In the afternoon, the Prime Minister rode the Rias Line of the Sanriku Railway and received an explanation on the progress of recovery. Afterwards, he visited Akedogawa Salmon Hatchery. Lastly, the Prime Minister viewed the progress of the reconstruction of the entire area from the platform of Omoto Station.
In addition, the Prime Minister instructed Minister for Reconstruction Nemoto to swiftly compile an Industry Reconstruction Promotion Plan that includes tourism, and to exert every effort for its establishment and implementation.
