The Prime Minister Attends a Meeting of the Budget Committee and the Plenary Session of the House of Councillors

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe attended a meeting of the Budget Committee of the House of Councillors in the morning and the plenary session of the House of Councillors in the evening.
During the meeting of the Budget Committee of the House of Councillors, intensive discussion took place on the basic stance of the Abe Cabinet regarding the comprehensive FY2014 budget, and the Prime Minister answered closing questions from Committee members.
The comprehensive FY2014 budget was then voted on and approved.
In the plenary session of the House of Councillors, the House voted on and passed the comprehensive FY2014 budget.
