Wednesday, February 19, 2014
Prime Minister Shinzo Abe held talks with H.R.H. Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the Prime Minister's Office.
After the talks, the Prime Minister attended a signing ceremony and then hosted a banquet at the Prime Minister's Official Residence, inviting relevant parties.
The Prime Minister said in his address,
"Following-on from my visit to Saudi Arabia last year, I am delighted to be able to welcome His Royal Highness this evening. This evening reinforces for me the solid partnership that exists between our two countries.
I would like to once again thank His Royal Highness for the warm hospitality I received during my visit last year.
With our own hands, we will pass onto future generations this enduring bond of friendship that Japan and Saudi Arabia have fostered ever since the establishment of our diplomatic relations after World War II and the entry of Japanese companies into Saudi Arabia.
Looking ahead to the next 100 years, I am committed to building a new era in which the people of both our countries are able to share true happiness
