Prime Minister Shinzo Abe received a courtesy call from Japan Disaster Relief (JDR) Teams Dispatched to the Philippines, at the Prime Minister's Office.

The Prime Minister said in his address,

"As we heard today, you were involved in a wide range of activities for the dispatch this time, and as such, we have once again felt the power of nationwide efforts.
As you know, for Japan, the Philippines is a strategic partner and extremely important country. At a Summit Meeting just a while back, President Aquino offered very kind words of gratitude for your activities.
As Prime Minister of Japan, I too truly think of the activities that you have carried out with pride."
