Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited Izu Oshima Island to observe the damages caused by heavy rainfall.
Upon arriving at Oshima Airport, the Prime Minister received an explanation of the evacuation situation and other matters at the Oshima town office. The Prime Minister then visited an evacuation center within the town office and offered words of encouragement to the evacuees. Following this, the Prime Minister moved to the Motomachi-Kandachi area and observed a site hit by torrential rain and a search activity site.
