The Prime Minister Visits the United Arab Emirates

On May 1 (local time), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and held talks with His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi of the UAE, at a hotel in Abu Dhabi.
On the following day, May 2 (local time), the Prime Minister conversed with the principal participants of the Japan-UAE Business Forum at a hotel in Abu Dhabi. The Prime Minister then attended the Business Forum and delivered a speech on energy cooperation and other issues.
Later, the Prime Minister moved to Dubai and observed the Dubai Metro.
In the afternoon, at Zabeel Palace, the Prime Minister held talks with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and then attended a signing ceremony for the Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates for Cooperation in the Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy.
