On January 7, Prime Minister Ishiba delivered his message to H.E. Mr. Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China and H.E. Mr. Li Qiang, State Council Premier of the People’s Republic of China, in the wake of the earthquake that struck Tibet Autonomous Region at around 10:00 a.m. JST on January 7 (around 9:00 a.m. local time) and expressed his condolences to the victims and bereaved families, his sympathies to those who were affected and prayers for the speedy recovery and reconstruction of the affected areas in Tibet.
