On October 1, 2024, in the afternoon, the voting to designate the Prime Minister took place at both the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors. Member of the House of Representatives ISHIBA Shigeru was designated as the Prime Minister. Prime Minister Ishiba became the 102nd Prime Minister since ITO Hirobumi, the first Prime Minister of Japan.
