Inauguration of the Ishiba Cabinet

On October 1, 2024, the Ishiba Cabinet was inaugurated.
After a meeting of the ruling parties’ leaders at the Prime Minister's Office, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, the new Chief Cabinet Secretary, announced the list of Cabinet members. Afterward, the investiture ceremony for the Prime Minister and the certification ceremony for the Ministers were held at the Imperial Palace, marking the inauguration of the Ishiba Cabinet.
Then Prime Minister Ishiba came back to the office and held a press conference, which was followed by the first Cabinet meeting and the taking of commemorative photographs.
