On October 31, following the election of Mr. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the presidential election held on October 30 (local time) in the Federative Republic of Brazil, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to President-elect Lula.
In the letter, Prime Minister Kishida expressed his desire to work with Brazil as a Strategic Global Partner to further develop the traditional and positive bilateral relations.
