Congratulatory Message from Prime Minister Kishida to Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden Kristersson

On October 19, following the appointment of H.E. Mr. Ulf Kristersson, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, sent a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Kristersson on the same day.
 
1. In the letter, Prime Minister Kishida, while noting the historic friendly relations and close cooperation in a wide range of areas between Japan and Sweden, expressed his desire to seek further bilateral collaboration toward realizing a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific.”
 
2. Moreover, Prime Minister Kishida noted that Japan and Sweden will hold the presidency of the G7 and the European Union, respectively, and expressed his desire to work together to address common issues of the international community.
