Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio's Attendance at the Japan-France Tourism Event (Summary)

On May 2, commencing at 3:40 p.m. local time (10:40 p.m. on May 2, Japan Time), Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, who was visiting Paris to take part in the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting, attended the Japan-France tourism event at the Japan Cultural Institute in Paris. The overview is as follows.

1, Prime Minister Kishida, in his address, expressed his hope that today’s event would be an opportunity for many people in France to visit Japan and experience the diverse attractions throughout Japan. The event was followed by a ceremony of breaking of sake cask with architect Mr. KUMA Kengo, chef Mr. Pierre Gagnaire and Mr MORIYA Hiroshi, Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary, and others.

2. From the perspective of supporting recovery from the damage caused by the Noto Peninsula earthquake, at this event, Japanese food and sake using ingredients from the Hokuriku region were offered.
