On May 1, 2024 (local time), Prime Minister Kishida visited Paris in the French Republic.
Prime Minister Kishida held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Gabriel Attal, Prime Minister of the French Republic.
The following day, on May 2 (local time), Prime Minister Kishida received a courtesy call from Mr. Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), gave a speech at the Inclusive Forum on Carbon Mitigation Approaches (IFCMA) Ministerial Dialogue, and then received a courtesy call from Dr. Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA). Next, the Prime Minister gave a speech at the Side Event on Generative AI, before delivering a keynote speech at the Opening Ceremony of the Ministerial Council Meeting of OECD.
In the afternoon, the Prime Minister gave an Opening Speech at the Ceremony for the Celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the OECD Southeast Asia Regional Programme (SEARP), before attending a Japan-France summit working lunch and then a Japan-France tourism event.
Finally, Prime Minister Kishida held a press conference regarding his visit to France and other matters.
