Liaison Meeting of the Government and Ruling Parties

On April 5, 2024, Prime Minister Kishida attended a Liaison Meeting of the Government and Ruling Parties at the Prime Minister’s Office.
 
In his opening remarks and on the topic of diplomacy, Prime Minister Kishida said:
 
“I will pay an official visit to the United States on April 8 in order to hold a Japan-U.S. summit meeting, attend an official banquet, hold a Japan-U.S.-Philippines summit meeting, and other events. In addition, I will address a joint meeting of the U.S. Congress at its invitation. I believe that in-depth discussions on wide-ranging issues at a time when the international community is facing various challenges will serve as a very meaningful opportunity to show the robust Japan-U.S. alliance to the world.”
