Visit to Ishikawa and Fukui Prefectures

On February 4, 2023, Prime Minister Kishida visited Ishikawa and Fukui Prefectures.
 
Following his visit to Awazu Plant of Komatsu Ltd., Prime Minister Kishida visited Komatsu no Mori “Waku-Waku Komatsu Future Pavilion” and held a meeting on child-rearing support in the pavilion. The Prime Minister then received an explanation on the state of damage caused by heavy snows and related requests from Mr. HASE Hiroshi, Governor of Ishikawa Prefecture.
 
Afterwards, Prime Minister Kishida took a test ride on a self-driving vehicle in Eiheiji, Yoshida County, Fukui Prefecture. The Prime Minister then received requests regarding heavy snows as well as an explanation on the state of damage and child-rearing support measures from Mr. SUGIMOTO Tatsuji, Governor of Fukui Prefecture, at the Fukui Prefectural Science Museum for Children (Angel Land Fukui). He took a tour of the museum and held a public dialogue on policies related to children. At the end of the visit, the Prime Minister spoke to the press regarding his visit and other matters.
