On January 10, 2023 (local time), Prime Minister Kishida visited London in the United Kingdom.
 
On the next day, Prime Minister Kishida received a courtesy call from Dr. John Chipman, Director-General and Chief Executive, International Institute for Strategic Studies, attended a salute and guard of honor ceremony, and then held a summit meeting with The Rt Hon Rishi Sunak MP, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, followed by a signing of Japan-UK Reciprocal Access Agreement. Afterwards, the Prime Minister visited the Tower of London and spoke to the press regarding his visit to France, Italy, and the United Kingdom, and other matters.
