On September 17, 2022, Prime Minister Kishida visited Fukushima Prefecture.
 
After holding an exchange of views with Futaba Town officials in Futaba Town, Prime Minister Kishida visited a planned facility site at a publicly owned facility in the Gongendo District, Namie Town. The Prime Minister then visited the Fukushima Robot Test Field in Minamisoma City, followed by an exchange of views with those involved in the Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework. At the end of the visit, he spoke to the press.
