On June 17, 2022, Prime Minister Kishida held the 41st meeting of the Central Disaster Management Council at the Prime Minister’s Office.
 
At the meeting, consultation was conducted on the designation of areas for the promotion of disaster prevention measures against trench-type earthquakes in the vicinity of the Japan and Chishima Trenches and areas under specially intensified measures for tsunami evacuation in trench-type earthquakes in the vicinity of the Japan and Chishima Trenches.
