Visit to Thailand

On May 1, 2022 (local time), Prime Minister Kishida visited Bangkok in the Kingdom of Thailand.
On the next day, May 2 (local time), Prime Minister Kishida held an exchange of views with Thai business leaders and visited King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. Following that, the Prime Minister attended a luncheon with the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Bangkok, and the Japanese Association in Thailand. He then attended a welcome ceremony and held a summit meeting with H.E. Mr. Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Thailand, followed by a signing ceremony and a joint press announcement.
In the evening, Prime Minister Kishida attended a dinner banquet hosted by Prime Minister Prayut. At the end of the visit, the Prime Minister spoke to the press regarding the Japan-Thailand Summit Meeting and other matters.
