On March 26, 2022, the Prime Minister visited Hiroshima Prefecture.

The Prime Minister visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, followed by the offering of a wreath at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims in the Peace Memorial Park. Afterwards, he returned to the museum, received a courtesy call from the Honorable Mr. Rahm Emanuel, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Japan, and then sat down with a small group of former Youth Communicators for a World without Nuclear Weapons. At the end of the visit, the Prime Minister spoke to the press regarding his visit to Hiroshima Prefecture and other matters.
