COP26 World Leaders Summit and Bilateral Summit Meetings

On November 2, 2021 (local time), the Prime Minister visited the United Kingdom to attend the World Leaders Summit of the 26th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26) and other events.

The Prime Minister held a meeting with the Honorable Joseph R. Biden, Jr., President of the United States of America, followed by his attendance at a high-level side event on infrastructure development and climate change. Then the Prime Minister attended the COP26 World Leaders Summit and delivered a speech. Following his visit to Japan Pavilion, the Prime Minister held meetings, including those with H.E. Mr. Antonio Manuel de Oliveira Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Rt Hon Boris Johnson, MP, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Hon Scott Morrison, MP, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia, and H.E. Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. Afterwards, the Prime Minister spoke to the press.
