While ministerial councils, committees, etc. were abolished in accordance with "Abolishment of Ministerial Councils and Ministerial Committees" (Cabinet Decision, August 13, 1993), the following ministerial councils were deemed necessary and shall thus be convened hereafter as stated in the Annex. | |

I. Ministerial Council on Prices | |
1. | The Ministerial Council on Prices (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") shall be convened whenever necessary to conduct consultations on important issues concerning price stability measures in the long- and short-term. |
2. | The members of the Council are the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications, Minister of Finance, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Minister of State for Financial Services, Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy and the Chief Cabinet Secretary. |
The Council may request the attendance of ministers concerned and other concerned parties where necessary. | |
3. | The Chief Cabinet Secretary shall preside over the Council. |
4. | The administrative affairs of the Council shall be handled by the Cabinet Secretariat with the cooperation of the Cabinet Office. |
