March 30, 2004 Verbal Approval at the Cabinet Meeting | |
| 1. | "The Council of Related Ministers for the Promotion of Economic Partnership" (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") shall be convened whenever necessary to carry forward comprehensive efforts on economic partnerships with other countries and regions under close communication with and coordination of the government as a whole. |
| 2. | The members of the Council are the Prime Minister, Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications, Minister of Justice, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Minister of Finance, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Minister of the Environment, Minister of State for Financial Services, Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy, Minister of State for Regulatory Reform, Minister of State for Science and Technology Policy, Chairman of the National Public Safety Commission, Minister of State for Information Technology and the Chief Cabinet Secretary. |
| The Council may request the attendance of concerned parties where necessary. | |
| 3. | The Prime Minister shall preside over the Council, and the Chief Cabinet Secretary shall act on his behalf where necessary. |
| 4. | The administrative affairs of the Council shall be handled by the Cabinet Secretariat with the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. |
