Ministerial Meeting Concerning Measures Against Crime | |
September 2, 2003 Verbal Approval at the Cabinet Meeting | |
1. | In order to re-establish Japan as "the safest country in the world," the Ministerial Meeting Concerning Measures Against Crime (hereinafter referred to as "the Meeting") shall be convened whenever necessary with the aim of securing a close coordination among related headquarters and administrative agencies concerned and also to comprehensively and actively promote efficient and appropriate anti-crime measures. |
2. | All ministers shall serve as members of the Meeting. |
The Meeting may request the attendance of other concerned parties where necessary. | |
3. | The Prime Minister shall preside over the Meeting. |
4. | A Secretary shall be appointed inside the Meeting. The Secretary shall be a civil servant of one of the administrative agencies concerned and holding an appointment designated by the Prime Minister. |
5. | The administrative affairs of the Meeting shall be handled by the Cabinet Secretariat with assistance from the Cabinet Office and cooperation of the administrative agencies concerned, including the National Police Agency and Ministry of Justice. |
