| Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori met with President Miguel Angel Rodriguez Echeverria of the Republic of Costa Rica at the Prime Minister's Official Residence. The two leaders confirmed that they would further strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on a broad range of subjects, including economic cooperation, investment, environmental issues, and cooperation in the international arena. President Rodriguez also thanked the Prime Minister for his contributions to bilateral relations as the long-time chairman of the Japan-Costa Rica League of Parliamentarians.
