Kakuma Refugee Camp Runners Pay a Courtesy Call on the Prime Minister

Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori received a courtesy call at the Prime Minister's Official Residence from athletes Lakew Fikre Derseh and Debisa Ture Guttu, runners from the Kakuma Refugee Camp in the Republic of Kenya. Both athletes are marathon runners from Kenya's Kakuma Refugee Camp and are currently visiting Japan at the invitation of private sector organizations. Prime Minister Mori observed the Kakuma Refugee Camp during his visit in January this year to the Republic of South Africa, Kenya, the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Hellenic Republic (Greece). The athletes paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister as a token of their appreciation for his visit and Japanese assistance.
