Tung Chee Hwa, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori at the Prime Minister's Official Residence. The Prime Minister expressed his hope that Hong Kong, on the basis of the "one nation, two systems" policy, would continue to maintain a free and open system and would further advance relationships of trust in the international community. The two leaders also exchanged views on a range of topics regarding Japan-Hong Kong relations.
