Prime Minister Receives a Courtesy Call from the Organizers of the Ceremony to Commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Japanese Emigration to the Dominican Republic
Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi received a courtesy call from Mr. Toru Takegama, the Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Ceremony to Commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Japanese Emigration to the Dominican Republic, and Mr. Hitoshi Koichi, the Representative of the Repatriation Group of the Japanese Emigrants to the Dominican Republic, at the Prime Minister's Official Residence. Firmly shaking hands with both men, Prime Minister Koizumi said, "I would like to express my respect to those people who emigrated to the Dominican Republic for their endeavors regarding the friendship between the two countries. My cordial thoughts go out to your hard work." Prior to the courtesy call, Prime Minister Koizumi made a Cabinet decision regarding the Statement by Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi toward the Early and comprehensive Solution of the Case of the Emigrants to the Dominican Republic, and announced it accordingly.
