Prime Minister Attends Meeting of Nation's Prefectural Governors Friday, November 11, 2005 JAPANESE The annual government-sponsored Meeting of the Nation's Prefectural Governors was held at the Prime Minister's Official Residence with Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi in attendance. At the meeting, with regards to the "reform package of the three issues," which reviews the modality of the Government and the local community, Prime Minister Koizumi said in his address, "The time for finalizing the budget formulation is approaching. I intend to proceed in this matter taking your opinions seriously." In response, Mr. Wataru Aso, the Chairman of the National Governor's Association and the governor of Fukuoka Prefecture, addressed the meeting saying, "We intend to continue our efforts toward the realization of reforms centered on the reform package of the three issues under the Prime Minister's precise policies."
