Decision of Senior-Vice Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries
At the extraordinary Cabinet meeting on the afternoon of November 2, the senior-vice ministers and parliamentary secretaries of the reshuffled third Koizumi Cabinet were decided. 22 senior vice-ministers were decided, including three who remained from the previous administration, and 26 parliamentary secretaries were decided, including five who remained from the previous administration. Following the extraordinary Cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi attended an attestation ceremony of the 22 senior vice-ministers held at the Imperial Palace. Afterwards, a commemorative photograph was taken and Prime Minister Koizumi then attended the first meeting of the senior vice-ministers, at which he delivered an address. In regards to the parliamentary secretaries, following the delivery of letters of appointment by Prime Minister Koizumi, a commemorative photograph was taken and the first meeting of the parliamentary secretaries was held, at which Prime Minister Koizumi delivered an address.
