Furthermore, Prime Minister Koizumi expressed his gratitude for Lithuania's participation in the EXPO 2005 Aichi, Japan as the only participant of the three Baltic countries. Prime Minister Brazauskas commented regarding his visit to Japan this time that he wishes to deepen his understanding of the development experienced by Japan through observing Japan's industrial trend and situation, such as by visiting private-sector factories in Aichi Prefecture.

As for the UN Security Council reform, Prime Minister Koizumi commented, "I believe that now is the best time for the UN reform. As a member of the Group of Four (G4), Japan is currently engaging in efforts for the Security Council reform. As for the draft resolution by the G4, the aim is to realize the reform by the end of this month." To this, Prime Minister Brazauskas responded, "Japan is an important country in the world and Lithuania is always in support of Japan. Lithuania also supports the G4 resolution."
