Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi received a courtesy call from Ms. Miho Yoshioka, an actress who is the poster model for the Campaign against Drug Abuse, at the Prime Minister's Official Residence.

The relevant ministries and agencies are making collaborative efforts to take measures against drug abuse such as educational activities and control measures under the auspices of the Headquarters for the Promotion of Measures to Prevent Drug Abuse which is headed by the prime minister.

The "No, Absolutely No!" publicity campaign with the intention to further promote the prevention of drug abuse will be held from June 20 to July 19, during which the "Street Corner Campaign" participated by youths will be held nationwide.

Prime Minister Koizumi handed Ms. Yoshioka a message to the people who will participate in the campaign, in which he said, "I hope that the campaign will contribute to decreasing the number of@youths from dabbling with drugs. Please give it your best." Ms. Yoshioka handed Prime Minister Koizumi informational goods to be used for the Campaign against Drug Abuse such as a framed copy of the poster and a T-shirt.
