President of the United Nations General Assembly Pays Courtesy Call on Prime Minister Tuesday, March 30, 2004 Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi received a courtesy call from Mr. Julian Robert Hunte, the President of the United Nations General Assembly, at the Prime Minister's Official Residence and held talks with him. At the meeting, Prime Minister Koizumi noted on the reconstruction of Iraq that "the reconstruction of Iraq would be of benefit to all countries." To this, President Hunte, who is also the Minister for External Affairs, International Trade and Civil Aviation of Saint Lucia, said, "While there still remains the issue of security, the United Nations cannot evade its responsibility," and the two leaders shared the recognition that further involvement of the United Nations is important. Furthermore, the two leaders exchanged opinions on the reform of the United Nations.
