Japan-Mongolia Summit Meeting Friday, November 21, 2003 Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi held talks with Mr. Nambar Enkhbayar, the Prime Minister of Mongolia at the Prime Minister's Official Residence. At the meeting, Prime Minister Enkhbayar expressed his intention to accept Japan's collecting of the remains of the Japanese war dead in the Nomonhan Incident, which has been requested by Japan earlier, and to provide any information concerning the Japanese detainees. Prime Minister Koizumi expressed his appreciation for that. Furthermore, the two leaders also exchanged opinions on the situations in East Asia, including the issue of North Korea. Prime Minister Enkhbayar expressed his understanding for the stance of Japan and his intention to cooperate with Japan to strengthen mutual understanding.
