Prime Minister Attends the Inaugural Ceremony for the Prime Minister's Official Residence Guard

Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi attended the Inaugural Ceremony of the Prime Minister's Official Residence Guard held at the Headquarter of the Metropolitan Police Department.
The Prime Minister's Official Residence Guard is a newly established body for ensuring full security at the New Prime Minister's Official Residence, which scheduled to be used from this month on and is larger in size and space as compared to the current Residence. Organized under the Protection Division of the Security Bureau of the Metropolitan Police Department, the Guard is composed of approximately 100 security experts dedicated to the Prime Minister's Official Residence.
Addressing the Guard after the instructions of the Superintendent-General of the Metropolitan Police, Prime Minister Koizumi stated, "I would like to express my heartfelt respect to all of you whose devoted efforts every day in unseen ways ensure that we are able to smoothly carry out our duties. Furthermore, I would like to call upon all of you to be even more dedicated in your work in the future." |
