The Global Warming Prevention Headquarters Wednesday, February 13, 2002 A meeting of the Global Warming Prevention Headquarters was held at the Prime Minister's Official Residence and the "Future Policies Towards the Ratification of the Kyoto Protocol" was adopted. Under the policies, a review will be made of the current "Climate Change Policy Program", and a new program will be adopted. In addition, it was clearly stated that all necessary efforts would be made in order to ensure the approval of ratification of the Kyoto Protocol and the enactment of the relevant domestic legislation guaranteeing the implementation of the Protocol during the current ordinary session of the Diet.
